The BLUE Yellow Kid – While most people know the stoy of Ruchard Outcault's Yellow Kid in his nightshirt as the “first use of color” in a newspaper, the truth is the Yellow Ki first appeared on May 5, 1895 in a BLUE  nightshirt in a panel At the Circus in Hogan's Alley. The yellow nightshirt appeared Feb 16, 1896, fascinated readers and lent its name to “yellow journalism”, the war between Pulitzer's NY World and Hearst's NY Journal newspapers.
