Ken Wheaton has worked on comics for Bongo, IDW, DC, Image, Moonstone and Airwave.

He has worked on Futurama, Bart Simpsons Comics, Simpsons Winter Wing Ding, Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror and Radioactive Man

Additional work includes the Official Adaptation of Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol, I Dream of Jeannie, The Phantom, Kolchak: The Night Stalker and Buckaroo Bonzai and IDW's Popeye series

As a freelance illustrator, Wheaton has worked on local and national projects which include designs for television advertising for Toyota, McDonald's and Wegmans

He recently served as editor of Munster Memories: A Coffin Table Book with Butch Patrick

1995 Classic Comics stamps first day covers from the Postal Commemorative Society produced by the Washington Press. The original art is converted into an engraved printing plate from which the cachets are produced. Some manufacturers produced one design to be used for the stamps. The Postal Commemorative Society covers were produced for each individual stamp issue.

Michael Grassia - Popeye

2015.11.07 Superheroes for Hospice, Livingston, NJ

At the Superheroes for Hospice show I stopped at the Outpouring Comics table. I picked up a promo card for Rusty Gilligan and asked Jonathan Miller where Rusty was this day, and was told at another event, which sounded something like Pop Art Con. I responded "There's a Con for Popeye!". Michael Grassia who was sitting next to the Outpouring Comics table, yelled "I'd go to that!" and the discussion of Popeye and Robin Williams' movie started. Grassia showed me a sketch he recently did of Popeye, and this gave me the idea to have Grassia  draw Popeye on a US Naval Academy cover..

Michael Grassia is an art teaches who realized his passion is storytelling through illustration and animation. He produced the child-friendly web-comic Plunger-Pup, a sci-fi adventure about a dog who fights crime with a magic plunger...

Hy Eisman - Popeye

Eisman started drawing comic strips in 1950 working on several strips including Kerry Drake, Little Iodine, the Katzenjammer Kids (the second oldest comic strip created in 1897 by Rudolph Dirks).

Popeye first appeared in 1929 as part of the comic strip Thimble Theatre, which debuted in 1919, was the creation of E.C. Segar. Eisman started drawing the Sunday panel in 1994, joining several well known artists who have drawn the pugilistic sailor including Doc Winner, Bela Zaboly, Ralph Stein, Bud Sagendorf and Bobby London.

Popeye has become one of the most well-known comic characters having been featured in comic books, cartoons (first appearing with Betty Boop in 1933) a live action movie starring Robin Williams, games and advertising.

Popeye the sailor's character has a unique method of speech, overly muscular arms on a thin body, smokes a corn-cob pipe and eats spinach to provide his super-human strength. He is often at odds with his nemesis Bluto over the affection of Olive Oyl.

Eisman is also known for the many comic books he has drawn, featuring the characters Nancy, Little Lulu, Tom and Jerry and the Munsters, and several Charlton Comics.
