2016-Sep-01 designed by Thomas Steinacker, Bonn. "What sounds like a fairy tale today can be reality tomorrow. Here is a fairy tale from the day after tomorrow..." With these words, the German science fiction series "Raumpatrouille Orion" began on 1966-September-17
Today “Raumpatrouille Orion” is considered a German TV legend. The film music by Peter Thomas, who created the “New Astronautic Sound” for the series, also has cult status. The series, which took place around 1000 years in the future, dared to take a bold view - in the middle of the Cold War. The crew of the “Orion” united people of different origins from East and West in a time without nation states.
