Quadratino has been published by the newspaper Il Corriere dei Piccoli for boys from 1910 to 1911. The first version of the character has appeared in 1909, the same newspaper, in the story entitled The tragic history of the triangle and the square. The series told the surreal stories of the mischievous Quadratino, Grandma Mathematics, Trigonometry and the guardian; in every episode of the eponymous protagonist of the series is punished for his bad behavior with the transformation of his head in a rectangle, a triangle or in another geometric figure; at the end of the story, after understanding of his sins, the head returns to its normal shape.

Mr. Bonaventura is a cartoon character created in 1917 by the imagination of Sto (Sergio Tofano) and appeared on the pages of the Corriere dei Piccoli for several decades until 1953. Bonaventura, with a characteristic red tail coat and bowler hat, baggy white pants and the faithful dog dachshund at his side, was the eccentric hero of adventures who saw him almost always penniless millionaire beginning and the end.
