Lee Hyun-se made his debut in Korean comics in 1978 with 'Ccachi Hair'. 'Ccachi', or 'Kachi', with the piercing eyes and the wild hair was a popular character of Korean comics of the 1980s. His 1982 comic 'A Daunting Team' is one of the most famous comics of its time. Other titles of his comics are 'Armagedon', 'Blue Angel', 'Wandering Ccachi', 'Nambeol' and 'Legend of the Gods'. Lee has been honored with some of the most prestigious awards in the field of cartoons in Korea, including the Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award and the President‘s Award in the cartoon division of the 2007 Korea Contents Awards. - Lambiek
