70th anniversary of Israel’s independence with stamps that represent different eras in the history of Israel, beginning with the establishment of the state, a military jeep replaces the tractor on the stamp representing the next phase, defense and security, of the mid-1960s through the mid-1980s. For progress and development in the 1990s and early years of this century, the design depicts a man pushing a supermarket cart.

Caricatures and comics have been part of the world for many years, providing an amusing and oftentimes sarcastic look at our lives.
