1975, Rechin, Don Wilder and Brant Parker created "Crock" as a parody of the film Beau Geste. The strip followed the adventures of Vermin P. Crock and a variety of characters. The strip was syndicated by King Features Syndicate and appeared in more than 200 newspapers in 19 countries. Rechin's son Kevin and son-in-law Bob Morgan plan to keep the strip in production.
Don Wilder died in 2008 and Brant Parker died in 2007...

In addition to Crock, Rechin also created the comic strips "Out of Bounds" and "Pluribus". Rechin served as a past president of the National Cartoonist Society..
